Summary:
In the middle of Suburbton, UK there's an ordinary family. Dominic, the go-getter husband and main character. June, his wife and soulmate; they've been together, well, forever. And Kevin, his rascally son; who constantly makes get rich quick schemes. The most danger they're ever in is of his boss, Sir firing him. No, there's nothing out of the ordinary among the gin and tonic around here.
Ugh:
There's a scene where Kevin turns into an alien monster. Bloody teenagers amirite?
Review:
You know a story is good when it comes from the guy who wrote The Chimes of Midnight (Rob Shearman (who wrote it under a pen name) ) and while this is somewhat similar it features Sylvester McCoy, who's perfect for the role of a sitcom husband, and instead of picking apart murder mysteries, it picks apart the British Sitcom genre.
This is the only one of the BBV audios I've listened to so far and I feel like this is probably the best introduction one can have to Rob Shearman and/or the BBV Time Travellers series
10/10
